My son/daughter wants to learn to sew, are THE CLASSES appropriate for younger students?

We recommend starting our instructional sewing sessions at around 8 years old. By this age, children have developed the fine motor skills necessary for sewing success. Starting at this stage ensures a more enjoyable experience, avoiding frustration and unhappiness that can arise from starting too young. Join us when your little one is ready to embark on a fun and rewarding sewing journey!

WHAT’s IT LIKE TO TAKE A STUDIO SEW SEW CLASS?

No matter where you are on your sewing journey, rest assured that you'll receive full support and guidance. I’m very patient and prioritize your comfort throughout the learning process. We will progress at a pace that feels just right for you! Moreover, the studio offers a peaceful and inspiring atmosphere, free from distractions. Get ready to embark on a sewing adventure filled with tranquility and inspiration!

I’VE SIGNED UP FOR A CLASS! DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?

All you need is your desire and a willingness to learn! We'll provide the sewing machine, tools, and fabric for your lessons. If you prefer to work on your own sewing machine during class, you're more than welcome to bring it. Just arrive 5-10 minutes early to set it up. And if you've signed up for the Sewing Refresher class and have specific fabric you'd like to use for the project, bring it along! We're here to make your sewing experience convenient and enjoyable.

WHERE IS THE STUDIO LOCATED?

As our studio is nestled within a cozy residential home in the heart of Austin, Texas, the address will be shared with you in a confirmation email once you've enrolled in a class. We look forward to having you join us and sharing the details of our charming studio location!

I am really interested in taking a class, but none of the listed times work in my schedule! Do you have any other options?

Absolutely! Let me know which class(es) you're interested in and your preferred availability, and we'll do our best to accommodate you. While I try to schedule classes in advance, I understand that sometimes the posted availability may not align perfectly with your needs. CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING POLICY

Studio Sew Sew is a small and dedicated studio that takes pride in providing high-quality service and personalized individual instruction. We understand the importance of careful preparation for each class to ensure the best possible experience for you. We also recognize that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and we are here to support you.

If the unexpected happens, rest assured that we will work with you to find a new time that fits your schedule, so you don't miss out on your class and the next steps in your projects.

However, if you do need to reschedule, we kindly request that you notify us as soon as possible, at least three full days before your scheduled class. This allows us to offer your spot to another eager student. Please note that cancellations or reschedules made on the day of the class, or arriving more than 15 minutes late, will be considered a no-show and cannot be refunded or transferred.
